 I was stupid enough to use my fake id to try to purchase some alcohol, and I'm obviously not 21 yet. I got caught, and the police got my records and said it was going to be recorded as the violation of the ABC laws - fradulent ID.

I got a court order and need to appear in week or so. I got my green card last february.

I am extremely worried; is this going to put me out of the only chance to getting my U.S. Citizenship? Any ideas? It was not just a violation, so I'm thinking it may not pose much trouble but I wanted to check.. Thanks.. :(

Yeah, i will make sure he knows when i get back in town. But just to get a grip, how serious do you think this is? I mean can this one violation put me out completely for citizenship??

If this is your ONLY arrest - EVER, you probably will be ok. Fraud normally is a Crime Involving Moral Turpitude (without reviewing the arrest record and charges, I can't say if it is in your case_ but there is exception for "petty crimes" as long as there is only one. Yes, if you are convicted, you probably will not be eligible for citizenship for the next five years after the conviction due to lack of good moral character.
