Permanent Residence

When my wife and I were married, she received a conditional residency, she is from South Korea. The condition expired in Jan. of 2004, we were supposed to renew for permanent status. Unfortunately we missed the deadline. She has filed paperwork to get the condition removed. Our issue is that we are planning on going on a cruise this friday (4/30) and she has no residency card since it has expired. Is there any type of document the immigration service and give her so that she can go on the cruise and be allowed back into the country? All she has is a S. Korean passprt and no residency card. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. The cruise leaves Miami and goes to the Bahamas and back.

Thanks,
Lee

So, if we go down to the USCIS, they can put a stamp on her passport that will allow her to leave and enter the country? Or they can give her a copy of the letter?

Thanks.
