Hey guys !

My employer filled for Schedule A and send the whole file (labor cert (x2)+I140 filed) to the INS last week along with a check of 195 dollars as requested.
The check has been cashed today.
That means that my file, at the very least was complete enough not to be sent back to us. That s a good thing.
Considering that the 195 dollars fee is for the I140 and not for the labor cert., Do you think it's a stretch to think that they approved my LC on Schedule A basis and that they moved me on to I 140 pile ?

Thanks

Congrats on your LC cert Juntha :) Tu vois ca a ete nettement plus rapide pour toi que d'attendre PBEC ;)

I am thinking of filing PERM but my company doesn't want to pony up the cost ... did you file yourself or used a lawyer ? I recall you wanted to do it by yourself ....

Hey MD watch , long time no see ;-)

Yes i follow you advices and decided to try it all for schedule A. Actually i did everything by myself. It cost me 195 dollars only (and the fee is related to I140). BUT , that said... I was lucky enough to find a NEW company ready to hire me (remember, i lost my job last september) and they already went thru some trouble to find a qualified guy before i showed up. When i applied (and was hired) they already applied with the DOL in California, advertised online, on their work place and in a job-placement online company. I didn t have to pay a penny for that. In your case, if yu have to go thru the advertisement, it might cost yu something. Not as much if you apply for schedule A (newspaper ads is not required in that case). I think it s do-able.
Email me if yu need some help. i can tell yu everything I did, assuming it worked for me, i dont see any reason why it shouldn t work for ya.
I am still confused as to why they cashed the check thou... 195 dollars was for I140. I am seriously wondering if they approved my LC before cashing the check... Only time will tell as my Notice of Action says i have to wait 173 days...
