Can anybody help me. This is the message i got from my attorney "We are unable to access your case on line even though we are using the appropriate password and other information. We have just put in a request to the DOL helpdesk to hopefully resolve what appears to be a technical problem."

Can anybody tell what happened. I have my case number and the petition was submitted 2 weeks back. What do i do now? How long does it take for their helpdesk to respond. Anybody please help!! :(

Missing Petition!

According to DOL help desk, the case could not be found by the attorney coz according to their systems, i the employee filed the petition and not the company or the company's agent(attorney). This is bullshit as i did not even access their website. Now, i have to wait because my petition has been rejected and the attorney thinks that this might be the reason.

Do the following:

1. Get the case no. from your attorney EVEN if it was rejected. While yr case was being created by lawyer, there MUST have been a case no. created.

2. Call the help desk, IF it's atlanta here is the no. : 404-893-0101
Tell VERY confidently the receptionist to put you to an ANALYST.

3. Hopefully you will get to talk to the analyst - NO NEED to be polite, it takes one to correct one like them- explain the situation.

No need to tell the laywer you are calling the help desk as none of the lawyes like to follow up or make DOL unhappy. The just like to take fees, collect cases and forget about it, so you be your own incharge.

What I am afraid and really don't want to scare you, is IF the case was rejected, you not even EVER get the denial letter. U atleast need to know from the helpdesk, that they will be sending you the denial letter.

Good Luck
