Hi there,
I have a scenario that I'd love to get some advice on, if it's do-able or not. My immigration attorney friend also suggested that it is do-able, but I'd like to check around.
I have left the US after finishing off an extended H1-B visa, and had abandoned a previous GC application that just came thru!!! I just couldn't stand to be at the employer anymore so I quit about 6 months too soon. Anyway, I have now returned to Canada and there's another company that is interested in employing me and is ok with sponsoring me for a new Green Card application.
I would like to know, now that I am in Canada, can I apply for a new GC application under PERM? My immigration attorney friend suggested that I would need a get a good strategy with whomever immigration attorney that I approach to handle my case, since I am out of the United States. She said that I qualify for filing under EB2 and recommended that I have my new employer start PERM recruiting now.
What is involved? Is there any immigration attorneys that anyone can refer to help me with my case? The company is in Los Angeles and would prefer someone in that area, but I am open to suggestions anywhere.
Many thanks in advance for your help!
