Hi Everyone
I have some questions which I am looking for suggestions or advise.
My company has advertised for job and the title
is senior analyst or tech specialist. My job
involed IT support and 5 years experience is required in C++, java, VB, C. This is a job for
and mostly the duties involves production support and working with business to gather requirements and
provide SAP supoprt.
Howver, our product development department has
software engineering titles and most of them
deal with C++, Java and VB. But our department and job descriptions are very different.
Now the question is my company has finished advertisement and on the quiet period. There are layoff rumuors that there will be lay off in coming 2-3 weeks.
I was wondering whether Software engineer and
Senior Analyst/Technical positions can be considered similar job areas. Will it be advisable to file if there are software engineers laid off in the company and NO Senior analysts or Tech Specialist.
Any advise will be highly appreciated.
