Hi All,
My Labor Certification and I-140 are approved through the PERM process (Jan
06). The group I worked in was unique in its Orginization placement..it was
not in the IT dept nor in the pure business/functional area. It was a
liaison between the two. The Labor application and I-140 has the title
Application Analyst. Now there are organization changes in the Company and
this 'liaison' group will be disbanded and reorginized and moved to the
bigger IT dept. My manager will not move to the IT dept but will take up a
job elsewhere in the company. I have two options at this time
1. Move to the IT dept. My job function will remain the same and I support
the same application that I supported in the 'liaison' group.(maybe increase in responsibilities/promotion..maybe)
2. Begin reporting to my boss' boss and work on some different projects
requiring the same skills. Not sure about the title at this time. Basically
in this option the reasonining would be that the smaller group is disolved
and I remain in the same overall organization with slightly different
roles/projects ( as compared to what was submitted in the labor and I-140
application.
QUESTION-
1. How do these changes affect my Green Card application(category EB2) and the ability to get 485 approved. Currently I am waiting for the visa number to be current and file the 485.
2. Which is better option to take so my GC process is not adversely impacted.
3. What if I withdraw my GC application and take up a differnet job in the
same company and reapply right away.
I really appreciate your advice in this matter. Really confused and perplexed.
