PERM and H1 Extension

Here is my situiation.

My friend completed 6 years in H1 and she didn;t apply for LC and so she had to convert herself from H1 to H4. Now she is on her 8th year extension (still on H4).

What are the options

With PERM.

1)
Can she apply for PERM and apply for I-140 and get H1 extension (meaning H4 to H1).

2) She finished her MBA (while she was in H1) here and with the graduate quota, is it possible to apply for new H1.

What are the options.

My company applied my perm on Nov 21 under EB2 . I have bachelor plua 7.5 years of exp . I just check that status is In Progress and also found that state in the address is wrong . Anyone what happened now ? Attorny told that there is no way that he can modify application.

Anyone has such experince ?

Go out of US for 1 year and come back with fresh H1B or work on EAD (if she is eligible)
