Per Diem

My company is in CA, My client is also in CA. Can I get perdiem?
My employer told me I have to show address out of city where client is more than 50 miles far from client. what is safe way to get per-diem?

You can claim per diem if you are travelling away from your home for business purposes and your employer is not reimbursing the expenses. So basic requirements are you need to maintain a taxable home and you need establish that the expenses were for business purposes.

My cient is in X city, my home and my employer is in city y, but in same state...!!!! Is there any way to get Per diem safe way....!!!
