There are people on this site who keeps complaining that the current bill in Congress contains nothing for legals immigrants - that is pure rubbish.

There is section of the bill that dealt with reducing the backlog, get it and read it through and you will see that there is plenty in it for all. If this bill pass, the wait time for visas will be much shorter for people already in the line, and people remember illegals would have to go to the back of the line. The bill is out there, you dont need a lawyer to read it and explain it for you!

Please free to express your opinion. Download the actual bill here with the latest ammendements.

It is obvious that it contains provisions for legal immigrants. I haven't seen anyone so far saying the opposite. Have you ?

Now regarding whether the bill in the mid-term could cause collateral effects due to the expected privileges granted to 11-20 million illegal aliens + fraudulent cases, that is unknown and yes, I have seen people bringing that concern here. That is a good thing, better than some silly misinformed behavior from people who has done nothing to leverage our cause since the passage of 245(i) cause in 2001. If people doesn't have a realistic view of our possibilities, you can't make intelligent decisions about your life, possibility to change jobs based on AC21, etc.

Also, who are you to say who people should stop mumbling about illegals ? This is an open forum.

After seeing the massive bungling with respect to priority dates, you still trust the USCIS to get it right?
Look at the facts, there are some lucky ones who applied for green card in 2004 with card already in hand and there are some with applications from 2000 still waiting.
Whatever laws are on the books, IMPLEMENTING them is another story.
The sheer volume of 12-20 million illegals needing some sort of document will bring the system to a grinding halt, they do not recieve that many applications for any kind of benefits for legals in years, now all of a sudden they will be inundated with applications, what do you think they will do with their limited manpower?
There are legitimate concerns about this, and they will continue to be voiced on this open forum.

The fact is YES! and you have seen it! Don't be pessimistic. If you already in the system what is there to worry about. no matter what bill comes out of Congress, you will still all have problems at USCIS, because we all want a increase in numbers. This country is facing a crisis with illegals. What do you want them to do! deport them all? well then you provide the funding. You all know it alot of them is not going to be accepted and alot is afraid to come forward. Its not that easy as you see it. The problem have to be solved and I am sorry that it is being done so late, falling in our time of plight. But keep the faith there is alot more to life than a greencard, so if you don't want to live it, your good luck.

I agree with you, this is a open forum and I love it. But you do not know what you stand for. Just look at your post that you submit when people put forward their opinion which does suit you. You and others think that this forum is yours and whatever you say is law. Remember when Jungler and others put forward their opinion, you and others along with members of IV rally against them and let the administrators pull the plug on them. You should be ashamed of yourself and stop being a low life. In this country people are free to express their opinion, whether you agree with them or not. Its better you only read and stop criticizing everyones opinion. Again shame on you. Remember people is here to learn also.

No, I haven't. Again, I've seen people bringing legitimate concerns regarding collateral effects that could be caused by such bill.

Perhaps you are one of the illegal aliens or someone who is profiting from their presence here to react like this. Just to your information, my discussions in this forum is related to the impact which bills in favor of illegal aliens have caused to our employment based community and how we should communicate to avoid this again. I will not even engage in discussions with you on what I personally think since that is kind of off topic and not important right now.

Ah, you can read this blog summing up exactly what's going on. It even acknowledges the plight suffered by the employment based greencard applicants:

I don't beleive in the breaking of any law. And I must tell you, I am not a illegal. But you must try and understand the problem. We have problem and we knew it, to wait for so long to get a greencard. I am not taking up for illegals, I would be stupid to do so. But in REALITY, they cannot afford to deport all of them and we have to accept that. And I am glad to know that you know our cause, but remember they are fighting to get things done thier way, but it is unfortunate that they are getting true results.
However you must let people be free to express their opinion.

I am concerned that this forum is slowly being hijacked by "illegals". There too many threads discussing "illegals" and the number of threads is increasing each day.

Please remember that this forum is "by legals, of legals and for legals".

Thera33, if you want to read more realistic measures on how to handle the illegal alien crisis, I suggest you go to fairus.org and numbersusa.com. Again I am focusing in discussions related to the legal immigration only.
All I am going to tell you is that I never heard the House HR 4437 bill supporters or even Tom Tancredo asking to deport people right away. I thought that they have requested to enforce common and basic laws similar to the ones that probably runs in your own country. That would gradually would bring order to the country and reduce the population by attrition along the years. I believe that common immigration laws should be enforced and legal immigrant visa numbers should be increased to allow more people to come here and contribute to this great country. That's all.Personally I think there is no such need or viability to deport 11-20 million overnight, and to my understanding that is what HR 4437 was about. Just remember one thing thera33, what goes around, it comes around. I am in not favor of doing the wrong thing because in the end, the honest people always pay the price.

Yes Marlon, I agree with all that. Dont you think that it hurt me waiting for a GC the legal way from 2002. The illegals go out and march so their voices could her heard, and alot of us, millions waiting the leagal way sitting on our asses in some forum only typing and talking about sending some negotiaters to Washington, only to enjoy a buffay lunch and a plane ride. We have to do so in the masses. I remember when this guy named Saawart was telling us all, You all curse and put him and others and let the moderators ban pull the string on themand now that the illegals is running away with the torch we start whining and crying fowl. The problem is when we see people who willing to sacriface anything to get their rights we dont know them, the smooth talking is not gonna work. It hurts me, we could do much better for our cause

Thera33,

How do you know sawart when you joined in Apr 2006 and have 10 posts to your name?

Don't you have anything constructive to do? It would be better for our cause and stop being a idiot. I have been monitoring this site for years now and have almost read every post. But just decided to join and I remember you cleanly as one the guys who lavish at everything, yet do not have the guts to go out there and do nothing.

Stop the bickering, if you did have the guts of sawart and some of the outspoken members on this site we would all get greencards in no time.

N.B. I not here to defend anyone, just giving my opinions, who are you to question one's opinion.

I agree.

This current bill is just for the illegals and they are reducing the EB2% and incresing EB3 as every one of these millions of illegals will go to the eb3 category.
