People has renewed EAD in VSC, help!!!

I applied EAD renew on Oct 4 in VSC through my lawyer. I haven't received recipt notice. Does anyone know how long will take? Who will get receipt notice? Me or lawyer? Will VSC only send approval notice for EAD renew applicant?

My EAD will expire December 4, if by that time, I haven't got my renewed one, will there be any problem for me, should I go to local office to get one at that time.

you can do only if 90-days have passed since u applied (according to my lawyer).

My lawyer told me that if I dont get my EAD before my present one expires and it isnt 90 days since I filed the renewal (which means i cannot do the walk-in), he would have to advise my company to remove me off the pay roll.

So I sent all the papers in a hurry today.

I didn't use EAD to work. I still use my H1 to work for my company. Are you using your EAD to work, could that be the reason to remove from payroll
 
EAD Renewal receipt and notice dates

I am almost positive (I don't have it with me now) that my EAD renewal receipt date was Oct 3 and notice date was Oct 5, 2002.
My company urged me to apply for EAD renewal even 4 months before the current EAD expires - well they pay for it so nothing to lose here. Bottom line, you cannot continue working if you do not have an approved and valid EAD (getting the receipt notice alone is not enough).
 
I got it on 17th OCT

EAD renewal Mailed on Sep 25th
EAD renewal RD Sep 26
EAD renewal Appoved on Oct 17th
Recieved Mail on Oct 21st

not to scare you, but this is the law. officially you cannot work for a single day if you do not have valid employment authorization. however, your status in the country is still valid.

52000 - if you filed on october 4th, you should not worry. what is your RD.

i mailed on sep 23 and my RD was sep 30. and it got approved only today. i think you still have enough time till dec 4th. but calling iio and asking for RD will not hurt. or you could check online...
 
H1b

I have my H1 valid till next October but my visa stamping expired last october which means that by the end of this month, i am no longer on H1. If you are still using a H1 it shouldnt matter.

My company considers me to be on EAD even though my H1 is still valid.
 
EAD Renewal

I have applied for EAD renewal on 22nd Sep. Lawyer received notice within week and it is approved on 19th OCT. 2002.
Have not received the EAD yet , but will get it soon.
Your lawyer will receive the receipt notice. You will get the EAD Card.

You can go to Local after 90 days. with the receipt and ask for Interem EAD.

if you did not use EAD to work, then there is all the more reason not to worry - as long as your h1 is valid...

I haven't receive the receipt notice. How can I check it online. How long took for you to get receipt notice after you send out renew form. Who will receive receipt notice? Your or lawyer. My lawyer filed for me

EAD/AP Receipt Rcvd - 09/19/2002
AP - Approved - 09/25/2002 Rcvd 09/30/2002
EAD - Approved - 10/15/2002 Rcvd 09/21/2002

My lawyer had prepared & submitted the documents & the Renewal receipt came directly to me... whereas a year back when I had filed originally for EAD & AP at that time the Receipt went to him.

Whats the message you are getting for your EAD application. Does it say " Approved and We Ordered you a new card" or does it say " We mailed you a approval notice".

Mine says " Approved 21st OCt , We ordered you a new card - takes 60-90 days etc".

How long does it take from the time it says " We ordered you a new card" .
Some people get a message saying " Approved and mailed to you".

My EAD was approved 21 Oct as I mentioned in another post but my message says " We ordered you anew card"
Is this the message you got or did you get " Approval notice was mailed".

EAD renewal RD Sep 26 02, ND Oct 3. No approval yet. However, Oct 15 who has RD sep 26 02 already got the EAD card. Need lucky guys
