Penidng I-485 Based On Asylum

Hello freinds

Pls anybody can help me regarding my issue as follwows , i applied my I-485 in June 2002, and it's still pending , and finally i decided to file WOM and i filed thru one of the attorney and he filed my case in federal court in June 16th 2008, after he filed and told me that i have to wait for 60 days for the result , right now already month passed, still i wanted to know wheather my attorney have to do any follow up with court clerk or federal attorney , if any one of the member have the information, pls provided to me than i can talk to my attorney i was very frustrated because of USCIS.

there is a lot of info on the WOM sticky on the top of the main page. You can read it and educate yourself about it. You/your lawyer can contact the US Attorney's office at this point.
 
thanks for the reply, could you pls advice me what should i ask US attorney and do i need to provide a case # also , pls clarify me
 
well! technically they have 60 days to respond but you can call them a couple of weeks before the deadline and ask them about the status of the case. sometimes they would tell you what exactly they are planning to do. In my case they told me they had contacted the service center and asked them to expedite the case. You court case number should be enough.
