Pending name check in Charlotte, NC

My wife had AOS interview last October in Charlotte, NC and has been waiting for name check since then. She has a 12 month EAD, which will expire in 3 month. What should she do to renew the EAD? and what can we do to the name check?
 
Yes, you should apply for a new EAD now, in order to ensure that she doesn't have any gap in her EA, which could cause her to lose her job (assuming she has one).

Where should she send her EAD renewal form (I-765)? to the DO in Charlotte, NC where she had I-485 AOS interview? or to the Chicago office where I485/I765 were originally sent to?
