Hi All,
My case is pending becuase of background check clearence. My priority dates are in my signature. My case was transferred to local INS office and I had the interview in August 2005. They could not approve the case as background check was not clear.
After waiting over 2 1/2 years, I decided to file Writ of Mandamus and I did that through a louzy attotrney. My attorney exchanged some emails/phone calls with the INS attorney. During those conversations, they (INS attorney) said that they have cleared my background check but could not ask for the Visa number as the Visa numbers were not available. This is mostly a verbal assurance not in any form of document.
I took an infopass and went to INS office(before the FBI name check clearence rule), they said that my case is pending becuase of background check clearence. They don't know anything about the mandamus case and name check cleanrence. I don't know what can I do bring these peices together.
On the other hand, if I forget about the mandamus for a minute and since the dates have become current for me and also the new rule about FBI name check clearence applies to me. I should have have some acitivity on my case but I haven't seen any change on the status. It is very frustrating to be on wait so long.
Can someone send me the contact of UN (United Nations) member, he might be able to help me?
Any approvals in the month of march?
Also, if you guys have any thoughts, please let me know.
