Can someone please help with this.

We have a pending I-130 application for my husband (under the family based (spouse of LPR) category) in VSC.

We are soon moving to a new apt (within the same state though - about 30 miles). Should we send out a 'change of address' letter to VSC. if so, how?
I applied for his I-130 a year back and we haven't been given any case# etc. that i can refer to while sending for address update. How would VSC identify my case?

thanks

Address change

Hello madhuri_dhar, I was in the same situation as you are right now and I can tell you what I did. My wife, who is a U.S. citizen petitioned for me with I-130 and while waiting we moved and had to report to USCIS that we've moved. Your husband will have to fill out the form AR-11(you can find it here) and mail it to:

U.S Department of Homeland Security
Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration
Change of Address
PO Box 7134
London, KY 40742-7134

Also, you will have to inform the local office where you applied the I-130. For example we applied in Chicago, and we sent a form also to the Chicago office. At the USCIS website they say this:

If you filed an application or petition at a local office, please write your local USCIS office whose address may be found in the "About Us" section of the USCIS Field Offices pages. Be sure to:

Address your letter as such:

USCIS ________ District Office or Asylum Office
(for example, Boston District Office, or Miami Asylum Office)
123 Main Street, City, State, Zip

Attention: Change of Address

Include in your letter:

* Your name as it appears in the application
* Your 8 or 9 digit A-number
* Your last address (old address) and your present address (new address)
* Please clearly mark your letter “ATTENTION: CHANGE OF ADDRESS”

You can read instructions step by step here:

Make sure also that you send the letters certified. That's all we did.

I had the same case and me and my husband filed I-11 -change of address form seperately on that. I also called and made sure that it is done.
My concern is, how come you haven't received any Receipt Notice yet?? When I filed, I received a receipt notice within 30 days saying they have received my application and bla..bla..bla. The notice also had a receipt # on it.

I am also changing address right now. And I am not sure what status should I put on the AR-11. Since I-485 is pending and I am not a PResident. Should I put the option "other" and specify WHAT? (c)(9)??? Adjustee???
Thanks in advance

I think you can write Adjustee or I-485 in process.
