Pending H-1B application question.

Hello friends,

I am holding H-4, and has filed H-1B by a company. It is pending. I wonder can I leave USA for my country and stay there for two month and back before OCT 1? Will the appetition still be valid? What I should do? I first entered USA with F-2 visa. I heard many people mentioned visa stamping, what does it mean? Please give suggestion if you know that. Thanks in advance.

If you have a valid H4 visa in your passport then you can go and come back before October. H1 is effecive as of 10/1/06.

If you COS is not approved then you can not leave US. Your H1 petition would be void as soon as you leave US.
