Peding I-485 and Job switch

I have couple questions regarding switching to another company while I-485 is pending.

My Background info:
I-485 is pending more than 10 months from the Notice Date and my I-140 is approved and I just recently got my EAD and AP.

What is the best way to switch (EAD or H1-b transfer)?

If I switch using H1-b transfer, what will be my wife's status? Does she have to reapply for H4 OR her H4 will continue?

Will there be any problem with the I-485 processing, if I leave my company who filed my I-485?

Thanks for your reply

:)

Happyface,

H1B is the preferable way to switch. You can still keep and EAD, but H1B offers more flexibility. I am currently on EAD (I485 pending since 12/18/01) and wish I had renewed H1B for 7th year.

I am not sure about your wife's status. I would guess that she would need a new H4 since her status is a derivative of yours, but I am not sure.

Ac-21 should cover your case. You have an approved I-140 and your I-1485 application has been pending for over 180 days. For it to fully cover you, ensure that the two job descriptions are the same or similar.
