I have a very strange situation. I have a valid H1 Petition from Company A which is valid from Jan 2004 to Jan 2007. I got my H1 Visa stamped in Sep 2004 and have come to USA in October 2004 for Company A.
I had gone to vacation in Feb 2005 but when I was coming back to USA I got my H1 Visa cancelled and have come to USA on L1 A visa for the same Company A in March 2005 because I had to perform different kind of responsibilities.
Now my L1 A visa is expired in Feb 2006 so Company A has applied for my I-94 extension in Feb 2006 and I got a new I-94 with validity till Feb 2008.
Now my question is will it be possible for me to change company A because I had a valid H1 petition till Jan 2007, I know that I can work for any other company by COS from L1 to H1 if I apply for a new petition in this year quota which is release this April which will be valid from Oct 2006, but I dont want to wait till October.
What are my options now? Can I somehow use my old H1 Petition.
