Here is a peculiar situation my friend is in:
My friend has done his master's in mechanical engineering and joined a desi consultant in October which filed for his H1b by causing changes in his resume like a networking assistant. It is still in processing stage and currently there isnt much information about its current status. The start date filed is around June 2006. My friend is in OPT and currently not working for this desi consultant now ; he is on the look out for jobs thru this desi consultant.
However a week before he got an offer (in the field of mechanical engineering) from a company who is willing to file his H1B.
Can anyone please advise if there will be any problem for the approval of the 2nd filing, considering that already one has been already filed with some other skill sets (which is networking)?
Both resumes are different and dont have much sembalance other than the fact of working in the university as a research assistant.
Any advice / any similar experiences will be appreciated...
