PD will delay 485 approval for India, China, Phill

Guys, it is confirmed. PD does affect issuance of 485.

Here is the response my senator got from Vermont Service Center

1. Fax of 2/9/05 -- I - 485 application filed by {my name} -- EAC 03 087 xxxxx -- A96 xxx xxx -- the I-485 application for adjustment of status has been placed on hold due to the fact that the underlying I-140 petition has a priority date of 2/14/02 (India) and the Department of State is currently issuing immigrant visas under the category applied for with a priority date of 1/1/02 (regression of priority dates).

Luckily for me, I read that the PD has now moved to 1st March 2002. Lets see what reason vermont service center gives me now. :rolleyes:

Some concrete news now !!!! But there are zillions of 2001/2002/2003 filers including me who have PD < 01/2001..

Where do we go now !!!! Take this response from VSC with a pinch of salt !!!
 
I think you should try your luck once again thru ur senator if you have not already done so. Keep trying thru all avenues. Thats all we can do (and that includes me too)
 
I received exact same response ( i.e. we are processing PD 01/02 and your PD is 12/02 ... ) from congressman..

Now I will wait till my PD becomes current..

They CANT day PD > 01/2002

They'll say .... "Dude..!!!! Youre screwed....Go take a hike...we dont have resources to process your case" !!!!!!
