All,
A regular visitor to this forum, a recent member. Came to US on H1 in 1998. Changed firms so much I lost count of it. Finally applied for GC in 2003. Got extensions for the H1 and in 2005, applied for Perm .

Case 1 (not an employee of this firm at the time of application).

Jan 2003 - Filed for labor, TSC.
Jan 2006 - Labor approved.
Sep 2006 - Filed for I-140.
Mar 2007 - I-140 denied ( financial ability of the firm).

Sep 13, 2005 -- applied for Perm
Sep 20, 2005 - Perm approved.
Sep 28, 2005 - Applied for I-140, 485.
Jan 2006 - I-140 approved.
JULY 16, 2007 -- GOT the approval EMAIL FROM USCIS!!!!!!

Honestly, still cant believe it, Waiting for the postal mail to arrive.
This is my second posting ( and final, at least using this user name, does not make sense to have this name anymore).
For all those of you who are waiting, good luck!!! My case kinda indicates that who all applied for I485 before the retrogression started in Oct 2005 might get approved. I believe I was included in the '60,000' cases processed in June 2007.
