I am somewhat new to this site. Can anyone be generous enough to tell me what PD, RD, ND, FD, RFE, AD means?

Thanks in advance!

definitons

PD = Priority Date
RD = Receipt Date (When appln. mailed or received by INS)
ND = Notice Date (When INS opens ur I485 appln. and enters data in their system)
RFE = Request For Evidence (INS wants to find out more about something on ur appln.)
AD = Approval Date (Date when INS decides to grant you the GC and then you can enjoy)..

Thanks

Thank you very much, 180DaysGuy:

I guess this is the beginning of my GC lengthy toor with a clear understanding of what those dates mean to me.

How do you know when is the ND, RFE date?

Thanks again!

Once your I485 packet is opened by the INS, they will send you a receipt notice which will have your RD (Receipt Date), ND (date when they printed the notice).

RFE will come only if INS wants more info. on your case. It's better not to wish for it right now.

Thanks
