PD and visa number availability

hi guys...

i now kind of understand pd and retrogression thing...although everyone is coming up with his/her own theory...

does anyone know how quickly the PD moves...for eg. ..they say from jan '05 anyone with PD after 01/01/02 will have to wait...my question does anyone has an idea that often they revise these dates...will the PD cut-off date be moved on weekly/monthly/annual basis by uscis?

There is no particular pattern that service centers follow. It is based on visa numbers and the rate at which the service centers clear their backlogs.

so does anyone have rough figure...like if someone who has PD of Aug '02...then when can he expect to see approval once Jan '05 PD date retrogress comes in effect...
