PCC when my I140 is being processed

Can I ask for PCC just about the time when my I140 is being processed. So that I am sure that I get it in time.
Is there a catch in this approach like validity of the PCC etc.

No where does it ask you for a validity of the PCC , and the
PCC itself has no expiry date on it .

Do it now .. dont make the mistakes all of us Jan-Feb cp\'ers made.
 
the US consulates seem to be going by a 6 month time frame

but not heard of a specific case or problem if it is earlier.
