PCC validity time period

I did my PCC from NYC consulate in Sep2004. Unfortunately i had to reschedule my CP interview for Feb2005. My question is how many days/months old PCC is acceptible for CP interview? My PCC will be 5 months old at the time of interview in Feb2005. Did anyone use old PCC like mine at Bombay US consulate in the past? :confused:

I got following reply from US consulate Mumbai reagrding PCC validity yesterday :

the police certificate is valid for one year from the date it is issued.

Carry a copy of this mail when you go for the interview.

And how about PCC from a foreign country

My husband had worked in Australia and we obtained a PCC from there a little over a year ago. We haven't visited Australia since obtaining the PCC. In such a case is the PCC valid for consulate interview?

I hope someone can give you a precise answer to this. But my suggestion would be to send an email to the Consulate with all the details and find out
whether you would need a fresh PCC.
