PCC questions

Guys,

For PCC from your NY Consulate, do you need to submitt your original Passports or a notorized copy will do. I spoke to a lady and she said a notorized copy will do but will need to come with the original once they have done the verification.

Further, if you need more than one PCC (more than one person), Can you pay the fees combinely?

How long will it app. take to get the PCC? I have a case number with National visa certer at Portsmouth-NH.

Prior experiences - please guide.

PCC Question

Applied for PCC at Chicago consulate.They accepted our P/P copy -the copies were not attested/notarised. During collection of PCC, I need to take the P/P - that's what they told.
Now my Q -
I was in Singapore twice - total stay was 196 days - but neither of the stay exceeds 180 days - do I need PCC from Singapore ? Please reply.

I doubt it, since you did not stay continously. However, If you can get it then it would be a good idea. Just in case they say so. Check where is a Singaporian Consulate of embassy and maybe you can call ask if they could issue one just like the Indian does.

PCC Question

Thanks for reply. Singapore does issue PCC like Indian consulate. The process needs - finger print and other stuff. I contacted their embassy too. Got the forms for getting PCC. Talked to my attorney, he mentioned it's not required -though i'm planning to have it - since u never know !!
And to my another Q regarding NVC and Pkt3, my consulate is Mumbai.
