PCC information - Please Help me !!

I have applied for my PR in Buffalo New York. I spoke with the Indian Embassy in New York, and they told me that i have to apply for my PCC in Washington DC , as i fall under their jurisdiction.

I have sent them all the required documents . Can anyone please tell me how long will take to get the PCC from the Indian Embassy, in Washington DC.

Do i have to keep following it up with them ? Btw, My passport was renewed in the USA ( Houston, TX )..so , will that help..

any information will be great, thanks to all of you .
 
Where do you currently live ?

If you received your passport from Houston and if you still live within the jurisdiction of the Houston consulate, you need to apply for your PCC from Houston not Washington. If you have since moved you need to apply in the jurisdiction of the consulate where you currently reside.
 
PCC - Washington DC Jurisdiction

Thanks for your response. But i am currently under washington DC jurisdiction and hence i cannot apply anywhere except Washington DC.

ANy experiences or ideas, as to how long it will take to get a PCC from Washington DC.. ????
 
My guess will be 30 working days. Because if they need to verify anything from India, they usually take 30 working days. This happened to me for the PIO card issuance.
