PCC - How does consulate send the PCC request to Inida?

My wife has applied for PCC in New York Consulate. I gave the reference number for the PCC given by New york consulate to my Family in india. When they contacted RPO Office in Hyderabad, it seems they have said that they haven\'t received the request for New York Consulate.

How does New York Consualte send the PCC request to India? Do they send a fax or Regular Mail etc.

What should I do if RPO Office in hyderabad says that They haven\'t received the request.
 
2 ways they are sending to RPO!

By fax and by post....So it will take atleast 20days by diplomatic bag to reach rpo...but ask cgny when they have send your fax....they will give you particular date and after that inquire in RPO...(If RPO fax machine is working and you have good resources ...only then they will give you answer?!?!)

I am not sure about diplomatic bag but I am sure about fax. I also applied to CGNY. In my case they sent fax to RPO from where my passport had issued and then they waited for the fax from RPO that basically says they didn\'t find any adverse record about you. If you have any contacts at RPO try to act now because in my case it took 47 days (no kidding !!!) to get PCC. My 2 cents--after 30 days from the day you applied PCC , keep calling CGNY because they have rule that if they don\'t get any answer back from RPO in 30 days they have to issue PCC. I found this out later on. Hope this helps.
