PCC from India

Hello:

I am expecting CP Interview in November or December 2003 at Chennai. I would greatly appreciate if some one who obtained a PCC recently, explain the procedure to me. Do I need to get one from Indian consulate in USA or Police dept. in India or both? I come under the jurisdiction of Consulate of India/Embassy of India, Washington, DC.

you just need to get pcc form the indian consulate in usa which in your case appears to be in washington dc.

Mail the completed form along with the prescribed fee and photcopy of your passport. Complete one copy per applicant!

PCC in usa takes approx 40-45 days to get from teh time you haev submitted th pcc application. If you are expecting Nov interview you shoul have already applied for the pcc a month back. Anyway go ahead and do this first coz even if you apply on monday (9/29) you will get pcc only around 13-15th november.
