PCC from India

I am an Indian born Australian Citizen. I got my I-140 approved and am going for CP in Australia.

As per requirement, I and my wife require a PCC from India also.
Since we migrated to Australia about 19 years ago, I don't know how I should get these certificates (PCC) from India. As per letter. two of these are required from:

PCC - from the Local Police station of the place of residence
PCC - from Regional Passport - covering place of residence

Also do we need to send finger prints to India.

Can anybody help me to guide the steps to get these.

Since you no longer reside in India, you can get a police clearance from Indian Consulate in US (or Australia, I think.) Check with US consulate in australia to verify this.
There is no fingerprinting done in India, therefore it is not required.
