PCC from India- DC Embassy

Dear Forum Members,
I have been asked to submit PCC from India for further processing and I have to apply via the DC embassy. I have a PP from india and I wanted to know the turnaround time, I have been searching these forums to get an idea and it seems like some have gotten within 2 weeks and other 4 weeks. I have to visit India during Oct and am concerned that if I submit my PP for PCC whether it'll return back on time for this visit.Can anybody share their experience regarding this process thru the DC embassy....Thanks in Advance.

Mine took about 10 days after submitting application in Nov 2004.
 
Mine (PP Issued from USA) and spouse's (PP Issued from India) were issued PCC in 7 working days. We have submitted the PPs in person to the embassy.
