I will be attending an interview for Green Card some time this year (Employment based). I am in the USA. Can you please let me know the validity of the Police Clearance Certificate.

Is it one year or is it six months ?

Not really sure why different people are getting different responses from the consulate. I was told 6 months when my folks called the consulate office whereas some were told 1 year. I'd rather be safe than sorry! I'd suggest take a printout of that email for your interview.

In my case since my 1st pcc expired based on 6 months validity, i got another one just to be safe!
 
Yes i will be taking a copy of the email when going for the interview. I hope to make the october month. My review was complete on Aug 7th 2003 and waiting for NVC to send papers to mumbai. If mumbai recieves it after the 19th of this month can i still get october date or will i then get nov thanks
 
There is no hard and fast rule but the way it works is if p3 is ENTERED in bbay consulate system (not just received in mail by bbay) before 19th of august then it is a definite october interview after 19th August it is a slim chance for october.

But again there has been a case that I know off where someones p3 was mailed to bbay in mid july, p3 entered in bbay consulate by end of july and still got a sept interview.

So coming to your question....there is a slim chance for october interview but higher chance for november interview.
