I stayed in singapore for 8 mos. Do i need to get a PCC from singpre for my CP, which i am expecting in Madras. My lawyer says not required for since its less than a year. Bombay consulate states the same but Madras consulate says its required and so does most of the information in the websites. please help.

I got it for my six month 2 day stay in Singapore
My lawyer told me that PCC for stay more than six months is needed. I got it easily after 25 days of application.
Only thing is there are a lot of steps so apply immidiately.

pkt 3 says PCC not required
OK guys..i went to the Madras consulate site and downloaded pkt3.zip. I noticed in OF169 form it has mentioned that PCC from a foreign country is required if the person has stayed for atleast a year OR if he has stayed more than 6 mos. in his current residence address / applicants nationality. which means if u have worked in a foreign country for less than a year and currently residing in US you dont have to get a PCC from that foreign country. Any comments??
