PaySlips for CP Interview

Please note, I am not speaking out of personal experience.
However, I have only heard of candidates carrying the pay stubs, to show, in case they are asked for. They are not officially called for, at least not by Chennai consulate.
Apart from this, it should be very easy to get this corrected by contacting your employer or the company that generates the payroll for your company. Even without the interview need, this should be corrected, because you will also be getting your W-2s with the same wrong name.
If the time is short, then carry them as it is , it should not be a show stopper!!

W-2s do not figure in any official list. However, like your tax transcripts the W-2s establish your employment record, and people carry to feel confident.
I do not know, if there are instances where the consular officer has specifically asked for W-2 to be shown!
