Payee name for processing fee (i485, i-765)??

Hi,
My wife is applying for AOS. While the fee info has been updated the payee info for i-485 and i-765 is still INS. Does anyone know who I need to make the checks payable to? Thanks

Look here:

This says it should be US Citizenship and Immigration Services.

That's what we made my 130/485/765/131 fee cheks out to.

Thanks Prabs15. I called USCIS and they told me to make the checks out to Dept of Homeland Security (and I noticed this also on the updated form i-485). I dropped off my packet earlier this week but a friend mentioned that it has to be USCIS so now I am totally confused. I guess I will find out if/when my chq is cashed or not

In the last 5 years Immigration service changed its name three times:
First it was INS (Immigration and Naturalization Service),
then it was BCIS (Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services)
Now it’s USCIS (US Citizenship and Immigration Services).
Confusing, isn’t?

Rramak, your friend, just like Prabs15 above, were both right. You should had write
check to US Citizenship and Immigration Services, or USCIS (it’s the same thing).

But – do not worry. They WILL cash it.
