Hi,

I'm new to this forum and I've a question.

I'm currently working in Texas and my labor petition was approved from Maine.
As I'm in Texas, I believe there is no need to pay the state taxes. My employer is suggesting that I pay taxes for Maine as the labor was filed from that state. I'm wondering if this is true and if I definitely have to pay state tax for Maine. At the same time I don't want to mess with my green card processing.

Thanks a lot!!!

Not required to pay the state Tax for Maine. GC is future job So you can say once it is approved you will move into Maine. Moreover for consulting company employee can be anywhere still apply GC at company's HQ. That is allowed by department of Labor It self.
