Lawyer will recv communication from VSC stating 30 to 60 days(or 45) blah blah blah ...

But yes 2 months is good estimate, you will get much before that.

one more question?

have we seen any 140 approval for similar cases?

thanks

In my case the EAD got approved last month over 3 months after my RFE response and over 7 months after filing. While for a lot of ppl it gets approved much faster, you never really know. Keep a plan B just in case.
Regarding the iEAD, I believe you can apply for one 90 days after the reception of your RFE response.
I wish you prompt approval ...

i will be going to the local office sson to get iEAD. it has past 90 days.

Is it past 90 days from the filing or 90 days from the RFE response?
If I'm not mistaken a RFE resets the 90 day clock.

it is past 90 days from the filing. i spoke to the customer service representative today and the lasy said i can go to the local office. i'm not sure how much can one rely on their knowledge in these matters. i will go and give it a try anyways. my H1-B reaches its 6 yrs in November 2004. just want to be safe.

Yes, you should definitely try. The rule of reseting the clock seem to vary a lot from one local office to another. Also in some urgent cases (i.e. previous EAD expires soon) some officers have issued cards even before the 90 days. If you need one badly try to win their sympathy.
Good luck
