Pathetic EAD story

Applied for EAD in December. It is 4 months now but didn't get the EAD yet. Recently obtained an interim EAD. Is there anybody in the board who is waiting for their EAD approval for 4 months and more. Do we have to contact congressmans for EAD approval also?

Getting EAD delayed by more than 4 months happens often. The standard process in such cases is to get an interim EAD, which you have done.

What's the necessity of conducting I-485 pilot program to adjudicate I-485 in 90 days when lot of EAD applicants are waiting for more than 5 months. I think first CIS has to start 1 day EAD pilot program before 90day I-485 pilot program.

hello guys,

ON Monay I applied for 3rd EAD and AP for myself and my wife.
Did not inform Company or lawyer as they are both tasteless.
After I took a closer look at my current AP I saw that expires in June instead of August like the EAD. Explanation: The A pis granted from the time is adjudicated for a year and NOT from its previous expiry..Please share your thoughts as these morons are literally jailing us...

EAD and AP have nothing to do with each other.
EAD is from pervious expiry- to avoid overlap. But on AP they do not look at overlap- they issue for an year from issue date.

3rd EAD is approved on 03/30/04.
I appled for EAD reneval on 01/06/04.
I am still waiting for AP reneval approval which was applied on 10/30/2003.

I applied for my 3rd EAD on Nov 19th. Waiting for more than 4 months but no approval. Then obtained interim EAD on March 2nd. My GC was approved on March 30th. EAD message still says the same. Which means the EAD approval money is going down the drain (which is fine with me).

As a positive note for folks who are waiting for their 3rd EAD approval for more than 90 days, the CIS may be working on your I-485 petition. Sit tight, your GC might be approved very soon.

Thanks sb_tiger. This is exactly the point. I think this procedure is wrong on their part since if one applies six months before the expiry and provided the AP is approved in three months then the three months are gone in a two year period. This accumulates for a third AP and so on..
Certainly not fair.

What is the criteria to obtain Advance Parole? A friend of mine went to Newark to get AP and he was rejected tiwice. The reason given was AP will be issued only if there is a real emergency such as someone is dead or something of that sort. Has anyone obtained walkin AP from Newark?

Who the hell is this stupid INS to decide on our travel plans? Well, we could go to meet our family and friends. Who are they to stop us?

Isn't our right to travel? Guys, this is ridiculous. On one hand they have liberty statue and beat on their chest claiming it is the super power and people have equal rights. On the other hand they treat immigrants badly. This is so stupid.
