Past Processing times Analysis - For what its worth...

The attached spreadsheet shows the past processing times. I found that 2 years ago, in April 2001 the INS managed to process 5.5 months in just that one month! Therefore, in theory....

Thanks. I just went through the old VSC processing reports that I found on www.fragomen.com.

Does anyone remember by any chance what happened in April 2001 to cause the INS to pick up this much steam? Did they hire additional IIOs? Did they upgrade the system to be more 'efficient'?
 
I don't think INS did hire more people or had increased efficiency. Someone like president or congressmen prodded them temporarily to move things forward.:)
