Guys and Gals of Free world,

Thought I will share the news, My wife and myself went to Local INS office in Minneapolis, MN and were stamped. Looks like the security check systems are in place at least in MN. She (officer) had some problems with the application initially but came back in five minutes to confirm everything was fine.

She took my EAD, AP, Original Approval Notice, I94, two Passport Photographs
My wifes AP, Original Approval Notice, I94, and two Passport Photographs

Congrats,when did you recieve your approval notice. My approval date is May 15th, I am still waiting for my courtesy copy.

My lawyer received the original yesterday and sent it to me today.
 
how does they know

what application you sent.
do they open the mail immediately and update the systems or they do not open until the previous mail opened
I am trying to see how a RFE return is different from a 485 initial filing

does RFE also same time as 485 to take action

You reply RFE with original coded letter which you or your attorney recieve from INS. So as they open the letter on reciept it is sent immediately to the concerned officer who generated the RFE. you can say it is differnt the the way you send your 485 application and get treated at INS.
