Passports received but not certificates yet.

Hi,
We have received our US passports by mail. At the time of oath, they gave us the citizenship certificates. We went to a passport office for the passports, where we have given our certificates as well. Four weeks later ,we have received our new US passports, but not the certificates as yet. Its been 4 days now that we received our US passports ,but no certificates yet(we were told then that certificates will come back first in mail).
Is it normal to receive the passports first and then our certificates. Please share your ideas.

No need to panic or worry. Just give it another few more days and I am pretty sure that you will receive your certificates in the mail by end of the week if not earlier. Sometimes you get it the very same day with the passport & sometimes it takes 4-6 more days after your passport is delivered.
 
I agree with Atlanta_Brother. If it serves as an example. When I applied for my passport last year same thing happened to me. In my case I was worried because my spouse got the certificate back, and mine took about a week or so more to show up in the mail. You should give it two to three weeks after getting the passport. If it arrives earlier that will be better, I know this creates some anxiety, as replacing a lost certificate isn't cheap.
