Hi all,

I received my passport over the weekend, a whole 10 days after submitting the application. I did pay the $60 expedition fee.

BTW, do you know if we're suppose to use the same signature for the passport as we did for the naturalization certificate?

Thanks!

Gabby2001,
What is the signature you have used on the passport application form?
I was told to sign like the signature on the citizenship certificate.

We were told to print our full names on the citizenship certificate during the oath ceremony. For those who are interested, I checked with the US passport agency and they said that sign the passport as we would any other document (e.g. driver's license).

Thanks!

Got my new US passport yesterday

Applied : 5/24/2004
Issued: 6/17/2004
Received: 6/23/2004

On Page# 5 of the passport there is some info on Dual Citizenship:
Dual Citizen: A person who has the citizenship of more than one country at the same time is considered a dual citizen. A dual citizen may be subject to the laws of the other country that considers that person its citizen while in that country's jurisdiction, including conscription for military service .Dual nationality may hamper efforts to provide U.S consular protection to dual citizens in the foreign country of their other nationality.

Another detail from my friend:

>"This company said that my Canadian citizenship might be a problem in getting
>a military clearance to work on certain projects"
>

I am going in for PIO card. Dual citizenship has more disadvantages than benefits. Moreover I decided to be a full fledged citizen of USA
