Passport Validity on re-entry

Me and my wife are travelling to India this weekend and returning on Jan 25, 2006 on ADVANCE PAROLE.

My wifes Passport expires on July 26, 2006. Well our return date does not fall within 6 months of expiry i.e 1 day before 6 months.

Question:
Do we need to have a Passport valid more than 6 months at re-entry, or is that not an issue at all?

Its always better to have valid passport that have reasonable time to avoid any headache or give them any chance to object
