Hi,
I and my wife received GC.My son and my wife case has been approved on 1 month back.My wife received GC both notice say things.

"The above application has been approved.Prior to receiving your permanent resident card you may be required to report for biometrics (processing photo/fingerprint/signature).Please do not take any action at this time.If you are required to report for this processing.You will receive another notice advising you of the date,time and location to appear. if you have not received your permanent resident card or the above mentioned notice to appear for biometrics processing withing 90 days,please call this office at the number listed below."

CAN WE GO TO STAMP MY SON PASSPORT OR WAIT FOR 2 MORE WEEKS?
DOES ANY ONE HAD SIMILAR SITUATION ?

What you see is the new procedure for Green Card Processing. Actually been around since about mid May. I was actually caught between the old way and the new way of doing things so mine took a bit longer to get the cards then it does in most cases now.
Most centers will NOT stamp your passport unless you are told to do so OR
you have an immediate need to travel.
Just wait for the Biometric appointment if it is needed.
