To day we went for Passport Stamping at Newark, NJ INS Center

1.There were many Approvals, that's the reason we have to stand in the Line

2.To Make our Life Easy, we didn't carry any bag,etc otherwise we have to wait at the Security Entrance

3.Got the Tokens for all the family members, then INS Officials told us to go to 10 th Floor

4.on 10 the Floor there is a Section with many counters and also we dont have to stand in the line, we can sit and wait for our token number on display board

5.At the Counter INS Official gave us a small Enevlope.
we have to keep the following items in the envelope
1.EAD Card 2.Two Photos 3. All I-94 Cards

6.Then the Officer took Our Approval Notice (Original or Courtesy Copy anything is Ok, no rules) and AP Forms
then they took our Finger print and Signature and told us to wait for Secuirty Check, it took two hours , then they called us for PP Stamping

At this point they will check the Expiry Date of PassPort
and also they will ask for a valid Photo ID (Like Driver Licence)

That set they will put a stamp in PP , which is valid for one year
and then they will say welcome to America, etc

That's all

Wait for Plastic Card

Isn't a passport valid photo ID?

Does anybody else see the irony in this? Many states (including NJ) won't give you a DL without some sort of status lasting more than one year. It is conceivable that a person on a H4 or TD not be eligible for a driver's license and not be able to get a PR stamp because they do not have a driver's license :D .
