My passport expires in 7 months. Does INS requires passport to be valid for atleast a year (that is what my lawyer says) before they stamp it. Please advise, as I have to go to Sna Francisco INS office to get my passport stamped. Would they refuse to stamp my passport.
Your lawyer is wrong. It does not matter how long your passport
has to be valid at the time of stamping. They will stamp it even
if it is valid only for a few days. Go ahead stamp your passport.
Or you can do what debo suggests and renew the passport first,
depending on how long it takes for renewal.
