Passport Stamping Question

Hi: Here is an interesting scenario... my friend\'s 485 was approved yesterday by VSC. When he started his GC process, he was staying in the Boston area, but about six months ago, he moved to Iowa. Since we had a common friend take over his apartment, he did not update his address with VSC, with the fear that they might transfer the case there and it could create problems. His lawyer also recommended the same to him.

Now that his case is approved, does it matter which INS office he goes to for the stamping purpose? The approval notice says that he should go to an INS office close to Boston (I don\'t know which one exactly). Does anyone have any idea/experience of thus?

If he has Iowa driver licence or some proof to show that he is living in Iowa he can goto Des Moines INS and get the stamping other wise he will have to goto Boston. I Would suggest to goto Boston INS and get the stamping done if he wants to get the card within a month because I live in Iowa and I know lot of people who got stamped in Iowa are waiting for CARD for about a year now.
Hope this helps ...
