Passport stamping question

HI,
I was trying to schedule infopass appt and looks like the latest available one is on June 6th at SFO office. We need to tavel out of country and we were planning to use AP. In the meanwhile out 485 approval notices came in and now I am in dilemma.

My question is can we schedule an appointment at SAN JOSE office though my zip code does not fall under that office ? Does immigration office people check zip code on ID beofre letting us in ?

Yes you can schedule at San Jose. Officer may check but you can explain.
