Passport Stamping question

I'm working in USA on H1-B visa and my green card is being processed thru' my employer.
I had filed my I-140 and I-485 concurrently about 4 months ago. I have gotten my EAD card but I'm not using it and 'am still on H1-B visa.
In the past, I had filed for Canadian Permanent residence also.
I just got a letter from Canadian consulate asking me to send my passport to them, so that they can stamp the "IMMIGRATION VISA" on it.
If I do so, will it affect my current Green Card processing in USA in any way?
Also, do I have to inform the Immigration center in US at any time about this Canadian immigration?

I would really appreciate your reply.

Having Canadian immigration stamp does not affect GC processing. Hope this helps. To the best of my knowldege you do not need to inform US authorities about this.

Hello
Do you mind saying when did you apply for Canadian immigration? I applied in March with receipt data in June and didn't hear anything yet.

Seems to me that you are keen on US GC more than CAN PR..If so, why are you bothering with this whole PR process anyways? You and I know that you will abandon the CAN PR in a heartbeat like a stray dog if you were to get your coveted USGC...am I right or what?

And yes..dont give me that 'job-not-secure-hence-backup-option' routine...heard that thousands of times already.
