Passport Stamping issues

Hi,
According to the new rules,I understand ,that one has to send his passport for visa stamping to the Canadian Embassy from where applied.
I applied from CHC New Delhi and currently on H1 in US.
So do I need to send my passport with I 94 attached to India for stamping? Are there any alternatives?Is it safe to do so?Should I remove the I 94 and keep with me and send only the passport?
Pls. advise.

It is true that according to new rules you have to send the p.p. but my friend it not safe at all to send it by mail to INDIA and specially in delhi..
It would be better if take the passport personally with you if you have planning to go to india ....
Onemore option is you can send your p.p. anyone to your family member in India they can bring your p.p. as your authorised rep. but they need some kind of authori. paper you can find that by calling any canadian conulate in u.s.....
They dont have any concern about your I-94 it is not necessary to send that with the p.p.
